Some products in TLA series discontinuation notice
To Whom It May Concern
Our torque limiters have been developed with the times, and currently, we have produced the spring friction type of TLD series and magnet type (hysteresis coupling) of TLEU series to replace TLA series.
About 30 years have passed since TLA series was developed. Demand for TLA series has decreased significantly with the switch to successor products, and the mold for parts is aging, so we have decided to discontinue the production of some products in TLA series. The discontinued products are shown in the attached list.
For the discontinued products, we accept final batch production with a deadline of December 23, 2022. If you have any requests, please feel free to contact the person in charge.
Thank you for using TLA series and considering switch to TLD series and TLEU series.

TOK Shanghai factory operation status in connection with lockdown (fifth report)
To Whom It May Concern
We report the operating status of our Shanghai factory as of June 10, 2022.
As reported, TOK Shanghai Factory resumed normal operation from June 5, and the current operating rate is 96% of normal operation. The number of infected people in Shanghai has been declining since peaking on April 13.
At Shanghai factory, inventory shipments are being started in sequence, but due to the cumulative delay in shipping services, logistics delays have become a normal for about 1 to 2 weeks compared to normal times.
Also, Shanghai factory will be closed on June 11 and 12 because it is necessary to get tested for a simultaneous PCR test for each ward, but it will be in normal operation from June 13. There are concerns about restrictions on factory operations due to changes in the infection situation, and it will take time for stable production and logistics, but we will sincerely deal with them for an early recovery. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your understanding and cooperation in the long-term non operation of the factory.
With the above, we will end the report on the operating status of the Shanghai factory.

NEWS RELEASE
TOK Shanghai factory operation status in connection with lockdown (fourth report)
To Whom It May Concern
We report the operating status of our Shanghai factory as of June 3, 2022.
As reported, the lockdown in Shanghai for the purpose of preventing coronavirus infection has been lifted on June 1, but permission to go out is about 90% of the total population of the city, and there are restrictions on factory operation.
At TOK Shanghai factory, the close control was lifted at finish time on June 2, and the factory-based staff returned home for the first time in a month. After the holidays on June 3 (public holiday) and 4 (Including factory reorganization and reattendance procedures), normal operation is scheduled to resume from June 5.
The occupancy rate forecast after June 6 (Monday) is unclear. The reason is that employees living in medium and high risk areas are not allowed to come to work and do not reach full operation. However, as logistics are gradually starting to active, we will start shipping inventories at the factory.
In the future, it is expected that we will receive a lot of inquiries regarding the delivery date , but we will inform you as soon as we can confirm the situation.
The next update is scheduled around June 10.

NEWS RELEASE
TOK Shanghai factory operation status in connection with lockdown (third report)
To Whom It May Concern
We report the operating status of our Shanghai factory as of May 20, 2022.
Lockdown in Shanghai for the purpose of preventing coronavirus infection is ongoing, and the prospect of lifting is unclear and the situation has not been improved compared with 10 days ago. The operating rate of Shanghai factory has slightly increased and it is about 20% to 30%. Although we are forced to close control (do not go home after entering the factory and profibit from contacting with the outside), our factory does not have the accomodations so the sleeping is the minimum conditions that meets administrative guidances. It is difficult to allocate more employees in the factory when we consider to secure an area for their rest and sleeping. Therefore, we do not expect to significant increase of the operating rate unless the close control of area, town, community which they live in and factory.
On the other hand, management staffs have switched gradually to work from home and improved the work situation day by day. We cannot answer the delivery time at present but we will continue to monitor the logistics situations and once operating situation is improved, we will arrange the shipment soon.
We ask for your continued cooperation in adjusting product delivery dates.
Also, our Shenzhen factory continues to operate relatively stably.
The next update is scheduled around June 3.
We look forward to your continued patronage of our products.

To Whom It May Concern
We report the operating status of our Shanghai factory as of May 10, 2022.
Lockdown in Shanghai for the purpose of preventing coronavirus infection is ongoing, and the prospect of lifting is unclear. However, TOK Shanghai factory was registered in the Whitelist of Epidemic Prevention Reconstruction Companies in Songjiang District, Shanghai, and was licensed on the premise of closure management (no return from the factory and no contact with the outside). Employees can now obtain a work resumption certificate, but if area, town, community which employee live in continues closure management, they will not be able to return to work, so the current factory utiization is about 10%.
We are promoting effort to the factory utilization and teleworking for production management staff, but it is difficult to say for certain when the product can be exported currently due to changes in regulations every day.
We ask for your continued cooperation in adjusting product delivery dates.
Also, our Shenzhen factory continues to operate relatively stably.

TOK Shanghai factory operation status in connection with lockdown (first report)
To Whom It May Concern
Due to a lockdown in Shanghai aimed at preventing coronavirus infection, our Shanghai factory has been placed under a closedown status. According to local information, no one at our Shanghai factory is infected, but due to an outbreak of infection on April 14 in the area where the factory is located, employees are not allowed to enter the factory until the end of this month, and it is difficult to make any plans for May and beyond.
As of today, Shanghai is prohibited from moving outside the sub-district except food-related logistics. Therefore, we anticipate that there will be disruptions in transportation after the lockdown is lifted, and deliveries of our products are expected to be delayed by approximately two months.

NEWS RELEASE
“New Mechanism” Torque adjustable rotary dampers are introduced
The motion of hoisting up something, such as blinds, roll screens, winches is heavy when it starts to hoisting up and very light when it finishes hoisting up, depending on the own weight of the object to be hoisted. In such applications where the motion stroke is long and the braking force is highly variable, our standard rotary damper cannot keep up with the braking torque, and centrifugal brakes are typically used. However, centrifugal brakes are known for their noisy operation (sliding brake noise) and complicated mechanisms. As noise during operation is particularly disliked by users, we have decided that a new mechanism is needed to replace the centrifugal brake.
