New torque limiter website launching now
We are excited to announce the launch of our new torque limiter website.
The new website not only explains torque limiters thoughtfully, but also adds the search function.
Some of the new features of this new website include:
New support for product selection
1. You can find the best torque limiter to be selected by rotation speed, torque, and shaft diameter.
2. There is the product families page, and it is overview of our products.
TOK, Inc. is only torque limiter maker that has the magnetic hysteresis type and the spring friction type.
New support for technical information
1. Introducing for beginners of engineer what a torque limiter is.
2. Keep updating technical information for torque limiters that are used on 10 to 2,000 mNm of torque.
3. Visualize explanation by illustrations and gif-animations.
This time, we would like to introduce a site specializing in torque limiters, which was released following the site specializing in rotary dampers. Currently, only basic content is posted, but in the future we will add more information as the specialized site.
In addition, our torque limiter has some parts that are difficult to mass produce without a certain amount of quantity, so we provide products with common core parts. We also handle some custom-made products, but we also provide these using common parts. If you would like a completely custom-made product, considering quality, cost, and delivery time, we recommend a monthly production of 20,000 units or more.

Torque limiter TLES series discontinuation notice
We have decided to discontinue production of our magnet limiter "TLES series" due to difficulty in parts supply.
The component that has become difficult to supply is a pipe-shaped semi-hard magnet used in the TLES series.

The "TLEU series" will continue to be sold.

Design changes to D Series Bearings notice
The outer race mold with an outer diameter of φ47 mm has become obsolete, so a engraving design will be changed at the timing of the mold renewal.
If you are using our products based on our drawing standards, there is no problem.
However, if you are using our products based on the actual dimension of the products, there is a possibility of interference with the relative parts.
The following is a detailed description of the subject products and specification changes.
If you notice that there is interference, please start modification of the peripheral parts and purchase the current bearings that you need by completion the modification of the peripheral parts. Otherwise, please consider ordering a custom-made product to keep using the current parts as it is.
If you use a custom-made product, you do not need to modify the peripheral parts, but please note that the cost of custom-made bearings will increase.

There are two changes.
1. Change of Mark Design
The design registration number "287839" has already expired, so this number will be deleted and the design will be changed.
2. Change of engraving shape
The shape of the engraving will be changed in order to reduce variation in the position of the rounded groove for ball rolling in the width direction.
There is no change in the standard value of the outer ring width, 14+0/-0.2, but the width of the outer ring is about 13.8 mm without the engraving, since the outer ring has been engraved with a convex 0.2 mm.
The updated mold product will have a convex engraving in a concave 0.5 mm groove on the side of the outer ring, so the width near the outer diameter will be about 0.2 mm larger.

If you are using a guide rail that requires a 13.8 mm wide bearing to run, the bearing in the updated mold product may interfere with the rail guide and prevent running.
